The Shipyard is located at the mouth of the Pearl River by the South China Sea. It is about 50 KMs from the Shipyard to Hong Kong, Macao, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Zhongshan and Foshan. It is very convenient  and takes about 50 minutes by Bus or Ferry or Train.

The Shipyard was established in 1956 by the local Government to only build various types of agricultural wood boats sailing on the network of waterways in the Pearl River Delta Area of South China. In 1985, Mr. Luo Chaoneng and Mr. Tan Weibo bought all shares of the Shipyard from the  local Government under the Chinese reform and open policy. Thus the Shipyard was continuously expanded and upgraded and started to build various types of classed steel vessels. In 2003. the Shipyard was reformed, expanded and upgraded by Mr. Wu Li, Mr. Luo Chaoneng and Mr. Luo Ting to mainly build various types of classed steel vessel for overseas clients such as
